SNAPSHOT 8.1 - V5R3M0 PTF
21-Sep-2004
---------------------------------------

About this PTF:
***************

Change to IBM API QSYGETPH for OS version V5R3M0 has resulted
in Snapshot failing to authenticate the User trying to connect.
The programs in this PTF are addressing this problem.

---------------------------------------

Requirements:
*************

	A) SNAPSHOT 8.1
	B) V5R2M0 and above

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Installation
************

SNAPSHOT 8.1 PTF is provided as a savefile (SNPFIX812)
containing the changed programs.

End the SNAPSHOT subsystem (ENDSBS SNAPSHOT *IMMED).

Installation steps
******************

   1. Copy the supplied PTF file (SNPFIX812) to a directory on your PC.

For example, copy the file to C:\TEMP.

   2. Create a savefile on the AS/400:

	CRTSAVF QGPL/savefilename

       For example, 'CRTSAVF QGPL/SNPFIX812'

   3. From the PC, start an FTP session and sign on to the AS/400. Transfer
       the file in Binary mode:

	C:\temp> FTP <myas400>
	ftp> Username?
	ftp> Password?
	ftp> Binary
	ftp> put SNPFIX812 QGPL/SNPFIX812

   4. Check that the files have been transferred to the save file:

	>DSPSAVF SNPFIX812 <Enter>

	===============================
	Object Type Attribute

SNP016 *PGM RPGLE QSECOFR 116 YES
SNP020 *PGM RPGLE QSECOFR 108 YES

	===============================

   5.	Sign on as QSECOFR (or a profile that allows QSECOFR programs to be restored).

   6.	From the AS/400, restore the saved objects from the savefile directly
	into the Snapshot system library:

           	RSTOBJ OBJ(*ALL) SAVLIB(SNPFIX812) DEV(*SAVF) SAVF(SNPFIX812) RSTLIB(SNAP70)

   7.	A message will be displayed on completion:

	   2 objects restored from SNPFIX812 to SNAP70.

   8.	You can now restart the subsystem on the AS/400
